We have all done it, we have been walking through the city centre and have seen someone that has completely nailed their outfit choice, but how many of us actually take the time to stop and ask them where they bought their clothes from? Anyone?
Well if you are more of an introvert and the kind of person that will simply watch as they walk into the distance, you may want to listen up as it seems that online fashion retailer ASOS has just added a new feature to their app and it’s about to make your life a whole lot easier!
In a bid to further help their customers to find the products they want, ASOS created a new image feature that will allow you to upload a screenshot or image from your camera roll before it will head off to find you any items that come close to the look that you are trying to find, saving you the hassle of having to search through more than 85,000 different products on the site.
While you may well be thinking that getting that sneaky picture of the person walking by may be difficult, you’ll be glad to know that the feature does have an impressive margin of error, meaning that even if you end up with just a section of the desired image, it will still head off into the site’s virtual store room and return anything that comes close.
The move to add further functionality to their app comes after the brand spoke out about their efforts to improve the shopping experience of their customers, highlighting that they knew that there was still more than they could offer in order to make things even easier to find the products that you are looking for.
This is an impressive step forward for the app which already has an impressive number of users across the globe, but news that you can now avoid those awkward conversations with strangers who 9 times out of 10 struggle to remember where they bought their vintage jacket, instead a sneaky picture will allow you to get on the trail.
In order to use the new feature, you will simply have to go into the ASOS app and tap the search bar, after which you will be presented with the chance to upload an image or use the search bar as you did previously.
The app is available to download from both Google Play and Apple App Store, so if you haven’t had the chance to grab it yet, now is certainly the time to be jumping onboard, but don’t forget that we have a selection of free ASOS discount codes that can save you money on your order, so don’t pay before you check!
