Wherever There Is Danger…
Hello! Hello, everyone! Welcome to www.thecarrottykid.co.uk - the home of ADVENTURE, EXCITEMENT and CARROTS.
This week’s one-off strip is a tribute to one of my all-time favourite cartoons, and biggest influences - Danger Mouse (the 80s cartoon classic, not the hip-hop guy. Though he’s good too.)
Rather than try and perfectly emulate the old designs of DM and his cast, I’ve just gone and done it in my own, slightly scruffy style. Still, you can recognise them, I hope! For more Danger Mouse fun, we recommend a trip to Cosgrove Hall’s official site, Club DM or Cosgrove Hall Ate My Brains - all excellent houses of online DM facts and stuff.
Talking of Danger Mouse, I went off to Cosgrove Hall Films last week, home of the White Wonder. I had some interesting meetings at the studio, specifically about The Carrotty Kid…all I can say is keep watching this space, because we may have some more news soon…
In other, less-cryptic news, we’ve got some other stuff for you to enjoy this week - more Carrotty Kid fan art, cartoons AND we’ve finally added a couple of Carrotty Kid wallpapers - perfect to liven up any dull, carrot-less computer screen.
FINALLY: we’d appreciate it if you could check out the post below this one, and vote in our poll about bringing back a forum to the site. YOUR opinion counts! Yes - YOURS!
Enjoy all the stuff, and we’ll see you in one week, when a certain Count Cornelius Cobb returns…
Bye!
- Fanton.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! I CAN SAFELY SAY THATS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE CK STRIPS EVER!

You sir are a genius. I’m so glad you didn’t just trace the front of a Danger Mouse Video and gave your own spin to the characters. What I also find impressive is that your own Carrotty-San and co. stands up so well in comparison to one of British Animations greatest triumphs.
There ya go glowing praise from Wo-Fo and not one insult.
P.S. You Smell.

You have a sense of humour like an old beano comic. I love it.

Very talented team, well done.

Hello, carrot fans!
Mooneyman, thanks a lot! I hope we can make a few more favourite strips, and that it’s not all downhill from here!
Wo-Fo, thanks to you too, man! That’s a nice thing to hear. You GOON. Ha!
Iron Spoon - The Beano is a big influence, so I’m glad it’s style is clearly noticed. Cheers
And Creative Blogger, welcome along - and thanks to you TOO.
Thanks to everyone, then!
THANKS!

This level of creativity always amazes me. And it was funny, even!

I love the grapes, and the reminder of Danger Mouse. I’ll be back, too.

*laughs* It’s the “Grape of Wrath” that got me.
Would make a great house guard.
Burglar - *reads a sign outside of the house* “‘Beware of grape’? What the…?”
Grape - “RARH!”

Thank you all for stopping by…I hope you’ll stick around, ‘cos there’s some awesome stuff heading this way (even if I do say so myself.)
Plus, if you don’t come back I’ll set the Killer Grapes on you.
